Barr EOM (Office)'s rules and processes allows seamless integration with many popular 3rd party products.

Resources: Integration with 3rd Party Software
Even though Barr EOM (Office) has a great number of features, we understand that it cannot always satisfy all the needs a company might have when it comes to output management. We have therefore included a number of ways in which our software can integrate with other 3rd party products. |
||
Business Rules
As part of Business Rules, administrators can configure a Run Command action, which allows execution of commands on any PCs that have the Barr EOM (Office) Rules Agent Service installed. Besides the actual command, the action can be configured to also pass in arguments which are either static or dynamic. Dynamic arguments are based on document properties, making it easy to invoke appropriate applications that affect documents while in the Barr EOM (Office) spooler.
Output Processes
During output to destinations, output processes can include a Run Command action as well. Besides passing regular document properties as arguments, this action can also pass the location of the processed document. For instance, a typical scenario would involve Barr EOM (Office) writing out the file to a network folder and calling a command line executable with several arguments including the path to the file.
Database
All the information collected by Barr EOM (Office) about documents passing through the system is available in a Microsoft SQL Server database. This data can be used to tie in any third party application that supports standard database connectivity.
