GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Barr Systems announces the release of Barr Enterprise Print Server 5.0 (BEPS 5.0), the latest version of our flagship output management product.
With the release of BEPS 5.0, capabilities have grown by leaps and bounds. Today, you can use BEPS 5.0 to convert documents, document batches, and print output to practically any format. Documents and batches can be separated, distributed, classified, indexed, and converted into the most commonly used formats, making it easy to process, present, print, and archive.
Also released in BEPS 5.0 is our comprehensive support for IPDS printing. A high percentage of production print goes to IPDS-enabled continuous feed printers, and BEPS can drive even the fastest IPDS printers at rated speeds. With BEPS, customers can now convert just about any type of PDL into IPDS or IJPDS. For example, BEPS supports both fully-composed and mixed-mode AFP files, PDF, PCL, Xerox LCDS and Metacode, and more.
