Barr Systems Offers Connectivity Solution for Xerox Printing System

Gainesville,Fla. - BARR/PRINT to EPS is a software module of the Barr Enterprise Print Server designed to send Xerox LCDS and Metacode to Xerox Enterprise Printing Systems (EPS) via TCP/IP.

This simple connection allows easy upgrade from Xerox LPS to the new DocuPrint 180 Enterprise Printing System (EPS) or the new DocuSP controller. The Barr Enterprise Print Server provides the connection to the mainframe or other sources to access Xerox print files. Once the Barr Enterprise Print Server has the Xerox LCDS or Metacode data, it can send the data to multiple Xerox printing systems through the Barr IP port.

BARR/PRINT to EPS converts ASA character control to machine control as necessary, and sends the FCB to the printer. It also adds a length value to each data line to ensure accurate transmission and interpretation of LCDS data.
