Use Barr EOM to Deliver Print Files via Email
Before you can start emailing documents, you have to capture them. To make it easy, Barr EOM has a wide variety options to connect to and capture files from applications running on Windows, Apple, UNIX, iSeries, zSeries and more.
The next step is to configure the appropriate Barr EOM destinations. In this case you will create an Email Destination. Here, you have two options. You can either use a Default Value if the email address will not change or use Dynamic Override if you want to send to variable email addresses based on the document's metadata.
After you have added the source and configured the email destination, all you need to do is a create business rule for your document. Business rules can be based on items such as the source, time, date, file size, author, page count, content, and printer availability. Documents can be processed with actions such as changing properties, file converting, compressing, encrypting, adding barcodes or watermarks, and routing to multiple destinations. In many cases, you may want to configure Barr EOM to convert your documents into PDF files and split them into smaller parts before emailing them to the final destination. All of these actions can be defined by a single business rule.
