Electronic Document Distribution and Delivery: Barr Systems' Solutions
The Barr Enterprise Print Server is our core document distribution platform. Its integrated input connectors accept documents and print files from a variety of sources, including Windows programs, TCP/IP hosts, ERP systems, mainframes, Unix machines, and network directories.
The files can be routed to multiple destinations, including printers (channel, network, parallel, and serial-attached), network directories, storage devices, 3rd party software applications, email, etc. BEPS supports the following formats: ASCII, EBCDIC, AFP, Adobe PDF and PostScript, Xerox Metacode and LCDS, PCL, GOF.
BEPS' document distribution works in fully automated mode, with no human intervention necessary. Routing occurs based on pre-defined criteria, which are often based on the documents' content. If needed, manual control over the routing process can be exercised from a centralized view of all documents and destinations.
