Host Connectivity Suite

The components of the Barr Host Connectivity Suite are:

BARR/RJE – Connect to one or more mainframes by emulating an IBM 3770. 

BARR/NJE – Exchange print and job datasets between IBM mainframes and your network applications in a peer-to-peer network. 

Enterprise Extender Link – Connect your mainframe to network applications via IBM’s Enterprise Extender (HPR/IP). 

BARR/CHANNEL Offload – Get jobs off of the mainframe faster using tape emulation and the mainframe's Spool Offload Utility. 

BARR/PRINT CHANNEL – Capture 3211 print streams from the mainframe via Bus & Tag or ESCON. 

BARR/PRINT CHANNEL for IPDS – Connect remote IPDS printers via Bus & Tag or ESCON and your WAN. 

BARR/CHANNEL – Fast and reliable connection for channel-attaching your SNA gateway to the mainframe that facilitates increased data throughput and eliminates the expense of a front-end processor
