Documents that go through Barr EOM fall into two broad categories: those with pre-selected destinations and those where the documents’ content or attributes determine where they should be routed. Barr EOM makes is very easy to configure both scenarios.
In the case of documents with pre-selected destinations, administrators can choose to link a source directly to a destination. This way, all documents arriving on the respective source get automatically routed to the respective destination.
In the other case, administrators would configure Business Rules to evaluate the potentially advanced criteria that determine the documents’ final destinations. Using a plain English interface, administrators can build conditional logic that employs a variety of document properties to select the correct routing. In addition, data can be extracted from the document itself, thus making everything inside the document available for the conditional logic. Typical examples would be using an account number or report type to determine the document’s destination.
Take five minutes to see how Barr EOM can monitor your documents and automatically route them based on criteria from the documents.
